Regarding Health and Wellness Tips
I am Not a doctor, Nutritionist or a dermatologist or a licensed professional healer of any kind or affiliation. The wellness, beauty and remedy products I post on my site are all tried out by me and my family before it is posted.
You know your body and skin type and what issues you may be dealing with. If you are not sure about trying something, ask a professional for advice.
Please note that homemade products do not contain the same preservatives as the store bought versions and are at risk for bacterial contamination. Please keep in mind the following:
1) Shelf Life of the Products Used – Make small batches, especially if food items are used in the products. Keep them refrigerated for up to a week, or go by the ‘best before’ date of the product with the earliest date. For products with non-food ingredients, refrigerate them for up to two weeks. If it smells bad, it probably is.
2) Choose your Packaging Carefully – Clean, sterilize and dry any pre-used containers. Use cotton swabs or cosmetic sponges for any products that are not made in single use batches instead of your fingers.
3) Keep Them Out of the Light– Prolonged exposure to light can quickly degrade some of the ingredients. Keep your products in dark containers, cupboards or the fridge as is consistent with the ingredients used.
4) Avoid Water Contamination – Distilled water is recommended for products that are absorbed through the skin and use clean dry hands when your hands are needed for application.
Regarding Financial Advice and Tips
I am NOT a Certified Financial Advisor, Planner, Broker, Banker or Money Manager, licensed or otherwise. I am a Mom and Wife in a family that live frugally. I can only write about my own experiences and of those close to me who allow me to pass on the wisdom they gained through experience.
Your finances are your own and you must make decisions for your own specific situation. If you are in doubt, ask a financial planner or credit counsellor.
